NWACC Autocross events are a fun activity done multiple times during the summer season. You do not have to be an expert or a “race car” driver to participate in these events. These are single car timed events with multiple classes to compete in. Only one car is allowed on the course at a time. Your competition is the clock.
Competition classes include everything from novice (bring your car out and run) to full on race prepare vehicles. This is a great way to learn how your car handles in performance situations. Fun is had by all.
These events are open to all performance cars not just Corvettes. So if you want to see how your BMW or Viper compares to the performance of a Corvette - bring it on out.
The NWACC Autocross competition code and event guidelines can be found here.
There will be 5 NWACC Autocross events this year. All events will be held at the Shelton Airport at Sanderson Field - 21W Sanderson Way

Corvette Racing:
Corvette Racing races two Corvettes, one in the United States with drivers Jordan Taylor and Andy Garcia in the IMSA series and one in Europe for FIA World Endurance Championship. I will report on the IMSA series.
Road America August 6th
Corvette qualifies 2nd behind Aston Martin.
Corvette leads the 2 ½ hour race. During a routine
pit stop officials said they did not meet their minimum
pit time fueling requirements and were penalized a stop and go. Corvette team
argued with officials that it was a bad sensor but after the
penalty Corvette finished 3rd behind the Aston Martin and
Lexus. So sad.
VIR (Virginia International Raceway) August 27th
Corvette qualified in 3rd place behind Lexus and Mercedes AMG.
Within a minute of the 2 hour 45 minute race, Corvette passed the
Mercedes AMG for 2nd place. With an hour to go, Corvette takes the lead
with a quick pitstop and a mistake by Lexus. They go on to take 1st
place for the second time this season.
