    C6 Clutch fluid replacement process

    1

This was the starting point, I have no idea when or if this was ever changed.  This car is a 2008 C6 Z06 with 72,000 miles on it.  The dealership wanted $1200 to change it out.  That seemed too much.

    2

I found this method online and it seemed worth a try.  I went online and bought a  Thorstone 2L Vacuum Brake Bleeder Kit for about $50 here.  I then purchased AC Delco 798696 GM Original Equipment 10-4086 DOT 4 Hydraulic Brake and Clutch Fluid - 16 oz for about $20 here  I sucked it out and replaced it with new fluid shown here.

    3

I replaced the cap and then worked the clutch pedal about 25 times nice and smooth, holding down on the floor for a second.  This is the what it looked like after 1 flush.

    4

I drained it again and refilled it here for the 2nd time.

    5

I repeated the 25 clutch pedal pushes and this is what it now looked after the 2nd flushing.

    6

I drained it again and refilled it here for the 3rd time.
